Batting Squares and a Move

This week's post is a few days late. We have been very busy at the Back Porch Quilters this week. We moved our shop away from the house into a lovely space just down the street from us. It is just the perfect size for the long arm machine and we are settling in nicely.

This is the first post I have had that didn't include photos. Just haven't had time, but I promise not to disappoint next week.

In case you hadn't noticed---you got a couple of days to post a comment to win the watercolor quilt books. I just didn't have time until now. So, let's get on with it and pick a winner for the week. The lucky winner this week is Crystal Hendrix. So, Crystal, if you are reading this, email me with your address and I will send out your books.

Since things have been so crazy this week and I haven't had time to do much, let's go with batting squares one more time. Post a comment for 100 five inch blocks of Warm and Natural batting. Thanks for being supportive.

Rhonda :)

  6. I'm in the mood for another rag quilt....and the DD wants to learn to sew. That's probably a pretty good project for learning to sew straight seams! :) Pre-cut batting squares would be quite a motivator!! :)

  29. H'mm if I have all those 5 inch batting squares, and if I use them, I've just made a quilt that no longer needs "BackPorchQuilters" to do the quilting work for me. Oh, Russ; Oh Rhonda... are you trying to outsource your service, so we do the work ourselves? signed, jonatha in hyattsville

  30. OMG, what courage to move anything. The last time I moved was when I was pregnant and it took me 10 months to get over it.....lol I became a Great Aunt last week, she is so sweet, my youngest it 10 and I forgot how wonderful it is to hold such a small life in your hands. Her name is Faith and she is beautiful.
